Adipurush, Prabhas's first bollywood movie, received harsh criticism for how it portrayed Hindu deities. The film's successful opening weekend demonstrated Prabhas' star power and his ability to play Lord Rama on the big screen.

Plans for the movie's OTT release are moving forward, despite the fact that the movie's pace has significantly slowed down after the first weekend. Both august 11 and august 15 are possible release dates for Adipurush, according to our sources. There is a good probability that it will stream on august 15th if it falls on august 11th because there are several theatrical releases that day, including Bholaa Shankar, Animal, and others. The producers have kept a wide 8-week gap between the theatrical release and the OTT release, taking into account the OTT release schedule.

No matter what religion they practise, everyone in india was ecstatic when it was revealed that someone was finally bringing the indian classic Ramayana to the big screen. Expectations skyrocketed with the inclusion of "Baahubali" prabhas to Adipurush for obvious reasons. All hell broke loose when the producers said they would spend more than 500 crores on this project, anticipating it to be the finest movie to come out of the indian film industry. Why? They just required a few good competent soldiers because the Ramayana had already imprinted the narrative in every Indian's mind.
