NMDC is a central government sector organization to undertake gold mining in andhra pradesh state. getting ready NMDC, a leading public sector company in mineral production, is taking rapid steps for gold mining in chittoor district of andhra pradesh state. As part of that, it seems that there is a possibility of investing 500 crore rupees in the first phase.


 Chigar Gunta Bisanatham gold mine in Gudupalle mandal of chittoor district has 18 lakh tonnes of gold ore, according to NMDC. In these mines, the company believes that more than five villages of gold can be obtained from each ton of ore.NMDC has already signed a letter of intent with the state government, which has come forward with interest to carry out these gold mines. 


After taking all the necessary permissions, it is expected to start excavations in two years. A consultant has been appointed. This consultant helps in obtaining all government clearances including clearances from environment ministries. But although the government has not disclosed the details of the investment related to this excavation, it is known that the government may invest Rs. 500 crores on this mine.
