CSR who conducted a long investigation stated the reasons for the train accident. It said that the train accident was caused due to wrong signalling. An investigation report to this extent has been submitted to the Railway Board. Mainly, the board concluded that the cause of the accident was due to errors in the switching of the signaling circuit.
