A teenager has been arrested for selling fake handwritten tickets to passengers at various railway stations in Chennai. Fake rubber stamp, notepad etc. have been seized from him. How did he deceive people for so long? The railway police have been receiving complaints that an unidentified person is indulging in fraud by selling fake tickets to the passengers coming to buy tickets at the booking centers of Central, Egmore, Perambur and tambaram railway stations in Chennai.
After this, the police engaged in intensive surveillance at Central, Perambur, Egmore and tambaram railway stations. In this situation, on the 18th at 12 noon, the railway police saw a youth wandering around with a note in his hand near the reservation center on the first floor of the suburban railway station in chennai Central and questioned him. He was also searched and found a fake rubber stamp and notepad.
Later, when he was taken to the police station and interrogated, it was revealed that he was Jitendra Shah from Kodunkaiyur area and that he had been selling such fake train tickets for some months. At the crowded railway stations like Central, Egmore, Perambur and tambaram, he approached the passengers who came to buy tickets and told them that he was working as a senior officer in the railways and asked the passengers where they wanted to go and signed their name, age, train name and fare by hand. After that he will also affix his rubber stamp "Principal Officer, Hyderabad, Telangana".
Jitendra Shah also said that if you show the ticket when the ticket inspector comes after boarding the train, he will reserve the seat. Believing this, many people have been deceived by buying travel tickets from him. Such deluded people were dropped at the next railway stations. Some bought new tickets and continued their journey.
Some complained to us. After that, we scrutinized the CCTV camera footage of the concerned stations and nabbed this person," said Ramesh, Deputy Superintendent of Railway Police. A case has been registered against Jitendra Shah, who has been caught, under sections including fraud and forgery. He was later produced in court and imprisoned.
