According to authorities, a 31-year-old engineer killed himself at his home in Whitefield after reportedly strangling his wife and two daughters. According to them, the deceased were Veerarjuna Vijay, his wife Hymavathi (29), and their children Moksha Meghanayana (age 2) and shruti Sunayana (age 8 months). police reported that they had not discovered a suicide note and that they had not yet determined the man's motivation for acting in such a drastic manner. police believe he murdered his wife and two daughters on July 31 and committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan the following day.

When Hymavathi's brother paid a visit to her Sathya Sai Layout home on Thursday, the situation came to light. He repeatedly knocked on the door, but no one answered, so he grew suspicious and called the police, according to a senior police officer. "Our team arrived at the location and opened the door. While his wife and two daughters were discovered laying on the living room floor, the man was seen hanging from the ceiling fan. The woman and the children necks also had signs of strangulation, the doctor added.

The man and his wife had been cut off for a few days, which led Hymavathi's brother to inquire after them, he said. According to preliminary investigations, Vijay first strangled his wife before moving on to his two daughters. The officer claimed that after killing them, the man hanged himself from a ceiling fan. According to investigators, the couple had been married for almost six years.
