After Tomato, Vegetable Prices Soar-pinch pockets!!!

The inflation rate in the country is continuously increasing and is not taking the name of decreasing. Like tomato, garlic is now being sold at the rate of Rs 170-180 per kg. Its price has reached around Rs 180 per kg in many cities. The price of one kilogram of garlic in patna is currently Rs 172. At the same time, it is being sold in kolkata at the rate of Rs 178 per kg. Compared to now, garlic was very cheap three-four months ago.

Last year, garlic was sold very cheaply in the wholesale market. garlic was bought from farmers in the mandis of madhya pradesh at a price of Rs.5-8 per kg. In such a situation, many farmers had thrown garlic on the side of the road because they were not getting a fair price, but after the increase in prices last month, the farmers who did so became rich this year.

Madhya Pradesh provides garlic to the whole country. The region supplies garlic to several states in South India, including maharashtra and Delhi. The result was that when the price of garlic increased in the mandis of madhya pradesh, it also increased in other states. On the other hand, garlic farmers of Ratlam district claim that despite losses last year, farmers will cultivate garlic on more land this year considering the prices.
