IndiGo pilot dies seconds before flight takeoff...

A pilot died while boarding the flight at nagpur airport today. Indigo's nagpur to pune flight number 6E135 (Nagpur to pune Flight 6E135) pilot fell unconscious at the airport boarding gate. He was taken to the hospital right away, where he was pronounced dead. This is the second death of a pilot in india in two days. 

Earlier on Wednesday, the pilot of the Delhi-Doha flight of qatar Airways also died after the plane took off. In the qatar Airways flight, the deceased pilot was sitting among the passengers as extra cabin crew. During this, he died due to cardiac arrest. Earlier in America also, the captain of the Miami-Chile flight had died during the flight on sunday night. Captain Ivan went to the bathroom while flying the Endor flight, where he fainted due to cardiac arrest. The plane's co-pilot made an emergency landing in Panama, where physicians pronounced the captain dead after an examination at the airport. There were 271 people on that flight. After these incidents, the matter of pressure on the pilots has once again come up for discussion.

The dead pilot flew in two sectors on Wednesday

NDTV quoted indigo sources as saying that the deceased pilot flew in two sectors between 3 am and 7 am on Wednesday. He took a flight from trivandrum and went to pune via Nagpur. After this he was given rest for 27 hours, after which he had to fly in 4 sectors today. He was on his way to take his first flight of the day before fainting at 1 pm. PTI has also quoted sources as saying that the pilot was given compulsory rest as per the DGCA guidelines.
