With the milestone of Chandrayaan-3's landing on the moon, prime minister Modi congratulated the nation. "We are witnessing the birth of a new India." A fresh chapter in history has begun, he said.

As the Lander Module (LM) of ISRO's ambitious third moon mission Chandrayaan-3 touched down on the lunar surface, india made history. It was the first nation to reach the unexplored south pole of Earth's only natural satellite and only the fourth nation to accomplish the feat.
