A woman has been suffering from abdominal pain, diarrhoea and fever for the past few days. However, thinking that such health problems are common, she took the available medicines. However, the matter came to light as it did not decrease. A woman who initially struggled with common health problems had dementia along with them. Concerned about this, she contacted the doctors.
During this time, no matter how many tests were done, everything was coming back normal, so finally an MRI scan was done. At this point she was shocked to see the creature inside her brain. They saw a snake-like shape in her brain. Later, the doctors who operated on her, took out a living rattlesnake from her brain. It is noteworthy that it is about eight centimetres long. Responding to this matter, doctors said that such parasites are usually found in pythons. At the same time, this is almost the first time in the world that they have infected humans.
Later, neurosurgeon Dr. haripriya Bandi, who responded to this matter, said that everyone was shocked by this unexpected matter. He said that the parasite was tested in the lab. At that time it was revealed that it was an Ophidascaris robertsii rattlesnake found in carpet pythons. At the same time, the doctors who responded further on this matter said that this case has informed humans about the dangers of animal-borne diseases. On this occasion, it was clarified that about 75 percent of the emerging infections worldwide are zoonotic (transmitted from animals) diseases.
