Over 6,000 people have been killed and hundreds more injured in the continuing confrontation between israel and Hamas in Palestine, which is currently in its 17th day. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid a visit to the military forces positioned close to the border with Lebanon. Since the start of the conflict on october 7, the forces have engaged in gunfire with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran. This comes as Hezbollah threatened to punish israel for launching a second ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, claiming that the organization was "in the heart of the battle."

"Hezbollah will miss the Second lebanon War if it decides to enter the war," Netanyahu declared. It will commit the greatest error of its life. It will be severely crippled by a power it cannot even fathom, with disastrous results for both it and the Lebanese state.

Here is all that happened on Day 16:

israel declared on sunday that it has approved a second shipment of humanitarian goods for Gaza in response to a request from the united states and advice from other political figures. The first aid delivery since Israel's total embargo started two weeks ago was made on saturday when the first consignment, consisting of 20 trucks, arrived in the area. According to Israeli officials, the sunday shipment contained just food, water, and medical supplies—no fuel.

• Gaza's gasoline supply will run out in three days, according to a warning given on sunday by the UN agency in charge of Palestinian refugees. The UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, underlined the severe ramifications of such a fuel scarcity, such as the incapacity to supply water, keep hospitals and bakeries running, and offer vital help to people in need.

• On sunday, india sent 32 tonnes of disaster relief materials and over 6.5 tonnes of medical help to the Palestinians. These supplies were on board an indian Air Force aircraft that was flying from New delhi to El-Arish airport in Egypt. The External Affairs Ministry spokeswoman Arindam Bagchi stated that the relief shipment included critical life-saving pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, tents, sleeping bags, tarps, and other necessary things.

• According to Syrian official media, Israeli airstrikes on sunday morning damaged the runways and killed one person at the international airports in Aleppo, in the north, and Damascus, the capital of Syria. This month, there have been three airport attacks in Aleppo and two at Damascus International. It happened as Middle east tensions grew as a result of the Israel-Hamas war.

• According to the Israeli Defence Forces, the Al-Ansar mosque in the West Bank's Jenin refugee camp—which is now occupied by Israel—was the target of an attack by a military plane on Sunday. The IDF claimed via X that the bombing was directed at a mosque-subterranean "underground terror route" that was utilized by Islamic Jihad and Hamas fighters. The Palestinian red Crescent has verified that one tragically lost their life as a result of the bombardment.
