Leo collects 6 times more than Jailer in Box office..!?


Actor Rajinikanth starrer Jailer became a blockbuster hit at the box office collecting over Rs.650 crores. Although the film raked in not only tamil but also Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, etc., it was not a success only in Hindi. The hindi version of Jailer collected Rs 5.35 crore in North India. This is because the film Jailer was not released in the multiplexes there. As far as multiplexes are concerned, the film should be released in OTT only after 8 weeks of its release. But it is a rule that tamil films are released within a month of their theatrical release. Because that rule is not valid in North india, they refuse to release tamil films in multiplexes there. That's why the Jailer movie was not released in multiplexes in northern states. Vijay's Leo was also released in North india at the same time. But the movie Leo has got a bigger response than Jailer. As a result, the hindi version of Leo has beaten the lifetime collection of the hindi version of Jailer in just four days. In that way, the film Leo has collected more than Rs.30 crore in North india alone. It is 6 times more than the Jailer film collection. In a recent interview, the producer of the film, Lalit Kumar said that Leo has become a pan-India hit due to this. Due to this, the team is planning to celebrate Leo's success on november 1.
