Telangana election Results 2023 :Congress Is Taking the Lead...

Early indications from the telangana Assembly polls, which are two hours into the counting process, point to the congress easily surpassing the 60-seat threshold while the ruling BRS approaches. In the state, the bjp and AIMIM are lagging behind. While the congress hopes to replicate its election triumph in neighbouring Karnataka, "founding father" K chandrasekhar Rao's Bharat Rashtra Samithi is relying on its social welfare schemes to maintain its lead in the high-stakes polls conducted in the southern state last month. In contrast, the bjp wants to increase its influence in southern india by gaining ground in the state.

To establish a government, the parties would need to secure the necessary 60 seats in the telangana Assembly, which has 119 members. The congress awarded one seat to its ally CPI, while the bjp and Jana Sena contested on 111 and 8 seats, respectively, under a seat-sharing arrangement. The majority of exit polls have given the congress the advantage, with predictions of more than 60 seats won, BRS in second place with over 40 seats won, and the bjp in last place with only 7 seats won.
