Happy Birthday Venkatesh: Actor's spiritual side?

On december 13, actor venkatesh turns a year older. Even though a lot of people grew up seeing him in movies like chanti and bobbili Raja, the actor has always taken care to keep his personal life secret. In interviews, he's quite open about his job, but it's uncommon to see him discuss his personal life. Looking back at the few occasions that venkatesh shared details of his spiritual experimentation.

"You don't always get your wish fulfilled."

Venkatesh's foray into acting happened by accident when his endeavour to establish a business failed. Speaking candidly to Times of India, he said how, over the years, he has come to embrace spirituality anytime he has desired more from life. "I've learned that what you want in life and what you get are totally different things," he said. I had a string of hits around the time of Preminchukundam Raa's release (in 1997), but I wasn't responding all that much to the successes. I questioned why I wasn't experiencing joy and what was wrong. I visited the himalayas and strayed into mysticism. I believe I now strike a good balance between my faith and my human function.

Though it wasn't always easy for the actor, venkatesh has acknowledged ramana Maharshi, the Christ, and the Prophet for helping him grasp life. It took his family some time to realize. In fact, his family was taken aback when he abandoned his life of religious practice to pursue spirituality. "I believe the truth is within ourselves," he once stated on his blog. After realizing this, I feel like I was born again. Karma says that everyone of us will discover our own way. When I talked to my dad and brother about this, it took some time for them to get it. However, I am happy in my own way, and they are comfortable with their lives. Whenever he feels the urge, the actor still takes time off from work to visit the Himalayas.
