In response to an alleged bribe demand by a government officer, people of the jagtial district fishing community showered him with cash notes. In a viral video, fishermen from a collective can be seen attempting to garland Damodar, an officer at the fisheries department in Medipalle, who they claim was pressuring them for a bribe to complete their task.

The fisherman claimed to have audio recordings of Damodar threatening them. A user published a video clip on 'X' in which members of the fishing organization are seen attempting to place a garland made of cash notes around Damodar's neck. However, he continued moving away from the group to avoid the garland.

Agitated with the attitude of fisheries department officer Damodar, members from the fishing community garland him with currency notes. According to them, Damodar, who is from the fisheries department of Medipalle, Jagityal district, #Telangana has been arm-twisting them for bribes. They claim that they even have audio recordings of Damodar threatening the association members.
Damodar looks shocked by when these men stand up to him, garland him and question him in front of media.
A departmental inquiry is underway on Damodar."
