Smita Sabharwal was a significant IAS official during KCR's rule. She has gone utterly missing after the telangana government shifted. Even before the results were fully announced, we saw IPS and IAS officials lined up to meet with revanth reddy, while Smita Sabharwal has yet to meet with the Chief Minister. She was the Chief Minister's Secretary and is also the Secretary of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department (Mission Bhagiratha Department). But she never met Komatireddy venkat Reddy, the new minister in charge of her department.

Komatireddy conducted a review Meeting the other day (December 11th). Smita Sabharwal was notified about the meeting two days in advance, but she opted not to attend. Surprisingly, the officials who worked closely with kcr are meeting with revanth reddy as well. Arvind Kumar, Secretary of Urban Infrastructure and Development, who served revanth reddy with a defamation notice over the Outer Ring Road issue, also visited with him and his team.

Smita is most likely no longer interested in the state and may apply for the Central Deputation since she feels the new administration will not provide her with an important assignment. Smita is also a frequent social media user. She is active on X and Instagram. Her latest instagram post was three weeks ago, and her most recent X post was of her image on election Day. That implies she hasn't been on social media since the results were announced.
