Rajinikanth cancels shoot after Vijayakanth's death...?


Politician and actor Vijayakanth from tamil Nadu went dead in chennai on Thursday(today). He was seventy-one. The actor was receiving ventilator support after testing positive for COVID-19. According to an official statement, the actor was admitted with pneumonia and, despite the medical team's best efforts, could not be rescued. Vijayakanth, affectionately known as "Captain," was hospitalized in november for respiratory problems but was released a few weeks later. december 14 was his final day of public appearances.

Throughout his career, he solely made appearances in tamil films, appearing in over 150 of them. He was well-known for portraying a police officer in films, and his fans adored him for it. He became known as "Captain" thanks to his 1991 film Captain Prabhakaran. Members of his party referred to him as "Karuppu MGR" frequently.

He was well-known for his box office successes with chinna Gounder, Honest Raj, Chatriyan, Sattam Oru Iruttarai, Vallarasu, Ramana, Engal Anna, Senthoora Poove, and Pulan Visaranai. Nadigar Sangam's president at the time was Vijayakanth. He was elected without a challenge and remained in that role until 2006. At that point, he established Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), his political party. When the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly elections were held in 2006, his party was viewed as a powerful contender. He was appointed leader of the Opposition in the Legislative assembly of tamil Nadu in 2011.
