Politician and actor Vijayakanth from tamil Nadu went dead in chennai on Thursday(today). He was seventy-one. The actor was receiving ventilator support after testing positive for COVID-19. According to an official statement, the actor was admitted with pneumonia and, despite the medical team's best efforts, could not be rescued. Vijayakanth, affectionately known as "Captain," was hospitalized in november for respiratory problems but was released a few weeks later. december 14 was his final day of public appearances.
Throughout his career, he solely made appearances in tamil films, appearing in over 150 of them. He was well-known for portraying a police officer in films, and his fans adored him for it.
