Residents in some sections of the city will experience a 24-hour disruption in drinking water delivery beginning at 6 a.m. on january 3, according to the hyderabad Metropolitan Water Delivery and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).  This outage is caused by pipeline junction construction in Santosh nagar as part of the krishna Drinking Water Supply Phase-1 project.

The areas that will be affected by this temporary suspension of water supply include, Mir Alam, Kishan Bagh, Santosh nagar, Vinay nagar, Saidabad, Chanchalguda, Yakuthpura, Madannapet, Riyasat nagar, Aliabad, Boggula Kunta, Afzalgunj, in the Old City and, Narayanguda, Adikmet, shivam Road, Nallakunta, Chilukalguda, and Dilsukhnagar.

Some nearby areas will also experience interruptions in the water supply during this period. Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements to store sufficient water in advance, HMWS&SB said. The hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board (HMWSSB) will carry out repair work in several regions of hyderabad, causing drinking water supply disruptions. The outage will last from 6 a.m. on november 1 to 6 a.m. on november 2 owing to a large breach in the 1500 mm PSC pipeline between Patancheruvu and Hydernagar. Erragadda, SR nagar, Ameerpet (with poor water pressure), Kukatpally, RC Puram, ashok Nagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, and miyapur may be affected by a 24-hour drinking water service disruption.
