Officials from the civic authority said the foundations for the Rs 52 crore project will be placed by march and the project would be finished in a year.

The bridge runs from Amberpet's ali Cafe to pista House, directly across from the Musarambagh RTO. The present bridge at Moosarambagh over Musi is now being demolished to make room for the new one. The bridge is being replaced since vehicles had to endure during rainstorms because water overflow and flooding would render the bridge impassable, posing significant hazards to those who use it. "During rain and monsoon, the flow of water increases significantly." "There have been several occasions when the authorities have had to completely close the bridge for public safety," said C.
