The congress took significant offense to the distribution of the 'Congress 420 promises' pamphlet by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on thursday and filed a protest with the election commission of India, seeking termination of the BRS' registration. The number 420 overlapping with the Congress' hand sign infuriated senior congress officials, as the number indicated cheating under the indian Penal Code.

Ministers D. sridhar Babu, Danasari anasuya (Seethakka), and tpcc senior vice-president G. Niranjan addressed a news conference at gandhi Bhavan, accusing Rama Rao of lacking humility and exhibiting arrogance despite the people rejecting them in the assembly elections. sridhar Babu criticised Rama Rao for releasing the pamphlet, accusing the congress of failing to execute election pledges while disregarding the reality that the congress administration had only been in office for a month.

"On november 30, assembly elections were conducted. The results were announced on december 3. On december 7, the congress government was constituted. We began implementing two assurances within two days of taking office. On december 10, we inaugurated the maha Lakshmi free bus travel plan for women and increased the Rajiv Aarogyasri health insurance to '10 lakh. Over 6.5 crore women have already taken advantage of the free bus service. "We are committed to implementing all Six Guarantees we promised during the assembly elections within 100 days," stated sridhar Babu.

Babu contrasted the situation after the 2018 elections, asking Rama Rao to be patient for at least 100 days before leveling allegations.

"On december 11, 2018, the election results were announced, and the BRS formed the government on december 13, 2019." kcr did not even constitute the cabinet for 66 days. Until february 19, 2019, he had only one minister in his cabinet, Mahmood Ali. Before blaming the congress administration for implementing two assurances in less than a month, Rama Rao should be ashamed of what his father accomplished in the same period in 2018-19," Babu added.

"BRS leaders, who ruled the state for 3,500 days and failed to fulfill any of their major poll promises, were questioning the congress government on poll promises," minister Seethakka remarked. '420 promises' is an excellent description of BRS leaders. If there are '420s' who govern the state, it is BRS leaders who have misled people for the past nine years with false promises."

She tried to remind Rama Rao of unmet promises made over two terms, including the distribution of three-acre plots to Dalits, 12% reservation for Muslims, KG-PG free education, appointing a Dalit politician as Chief minister, and the construction of two-bedroom houses, among others and asked him to first apologize for the failures.

Niranjan met with Chief Electoral Officer Vikas raj and filed a complaint seeking BRS's deregistration "for releasing a booklet on congress to harm the reputation of the 139-year-old party."
