Last year, revenue officials, accompanied by the tamil Nadu tax department, inspected the lands of actors prakash raj and bobby Simha in Vilpatti panchayat of Kodaikanal. Notices were subsequently issued to them by the kodaikanal Zonal Deputy Block Development Officer, seeking explanations for the alleged encroachment.
A complaint was lodged by Pethuparai village president KV Mahendran, accusing both actors of encroaching on government land near Annanagar in Bhartipuram under Vilpatti panchayat to construct their bungalows. The complaint stated that the actors had built the bungalows without obtaining proper permissions, encroached on public roads, and constructed lanes, thereby affecting local residents.
Officials from the tax department conducted inspections on the lands of both actors, and after completion, the sector is prepared to take necessary action. However, due to the celebrity status of prakash raj and bobby Simha, no immediate action has been taken against them. There are reports that prakash raj has undertaken construction on seven acres of hill land, while bobby Simha is constructing a building on one acre.
The ongoing investigation is currently in the courts, and a final verdict is awaited.Pakiyalakshmi Ramachandran, the president of Wilpatti panchayat, stated that notices were issued to both actors, demanding explanations for their alleged violations, along with the drawing of the construction plan. The actors have been accused of building structures without proper permissions and obstructing public spaces. The investigation continues in the courts, and the final verdict will determine the outcome of the case.
