Nayanthara and Jai's recent film, 'Annapoorani,' has been in problems for reportedly offending religious sensitivities and advocating 'Love Jihad'. The film is drawing fire for allegedly including a provocative statement about Lord Ram. Ramesh Solanki filed the FIR in Mumbai.
'Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food' is presently available on Netflix and stars Nayanthara and jai in the key roles. Nilesh Krishnaa made his directorial debut. Ramesh Solanki issued a statement on X and filed a police complaint, alleging that the film 'supported love Jihad'. He also stated that 'Annapoorani' had hurt 'Hindu feelings'.
The lawsuit was filed against Nayanthara, Jai, and Nilesh, as well as producers Jatin Sethi, R Ravindran, and Punit Goenka, Zed Studios Chief business Officer Shariq Patel, and Monika Shergill, the head of Netflix India. Nayanthara stars in 'Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food' as an ambitious cook who enters the reality programme 'India's Best cook' against her mother's advise. Now, the movie has been removed from Netflix after a huge controversy erupted.


'Annapoorani' is co-produced by Jatin Sethi and R Ravindran and stars Jai, Sathyaraj, Redin Kingsley, suresh Chakravarthy, Renuka, and KS Ravikumar. thaman s composed the soundtrack, while the cinematography is by sathyan Sooryan.
