Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' had a respectable debut at the global box office on Day 1. This film was one of the biggest releases of january 2024. When the film hit cinemas on january 12, Dhanush's fans showed up in droves to see the action drama. The picture received favourable feedback from reviewers and spectators. According to early estimates, 'Captain Miller' has grossed over Rs 8.65 crore in India.

Captain Miller opened in cinemas on january 12. It competed alongside 'Guntur Kaaram' by Mahesh Babu, 'Merry Christmas' by vijay sethupathi and katrina kaif, 'HanuMan' by teja Sajja, and 'Ayalaan' by Sivakarthikeyan. The film will also compete with venkatesh Daggubati's 'Saindhav' beginning today, january 13.

On Day One, january 12, Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' is expected to make Rs 8.65 crore net at the domestic box office. The film, made on a reported budget of Rs 50 crore, had an overall occupancy rate of 40.99% in tamil, 6.92% in Hindi, and 7.94% in Kannada. Meanwhile, 'Captain Miller' faced direct competition from another tamil film, Sivakarthikeyan's sci-fi thriller 'Ayalaan'. Nonetheless, dhanush came victorious in the match. According to trade sources, 'Ayalaan' debuted at Rs 4 crore.
