Freezing cold..?!  School timings Changed..!?

The district administration has changed the timings of school opening so that the students in noida are not affected by the extreme cold. Due to the cold weather, classes from Nursery to 8 in noida and Greater noida will start from january 18 at 10 am, the district administration said. district Collector rahul Panwar, First Level education Officer of gautam buddha Nagar, said that this time change will be in effect until further orders from the district administration. In a statement issued regarding the change of timings given to schools, "In view of the dense fog and severe cold, as per the instructions issued by the district Collector, Gautama buddha Nagar, the classes from Nursery to 8th standard in all schools will start from 10 AM from january 18 till further orders. It has been stated very strongly on behalf of the district administration that it should be implemented strictly. Disciplinary action will be taken against the schools that violate the order.
Before this order, classes from Nursery to Class 8 were given leave till january 16 due to severe cold weather in Neida. For students of classes 9 to 12, school timings were changed from 10 am to 3 pm last week, following a separate order issued by district Superintendent of Schools Dharmaveer Singh. This order means that this time for classes 9 to 12 will continue till january 20, the order said. It is also worth noting that government schools in noida generally follow a 9 am to 3 pm schedule during winter.India has recently seen a significant increase in understanding and action on climate change and its impacts. Although it is cold season in india now, school opening times have been changed due to the unprecedented cold. Usually in india, we have faced school holidays due to heavy rains. But in recent times, school vacations due to extreme heat and extreme cold are seen as an echo of climate change. Many parents are raising the question as to how long we are going to change the operating hours of the schools due to the change in weather conditions.
