Ahead of the pran Pratishtha (consecration) of Ram's Lalla idol at Ayodhya's ram Temple, the indian diaspora lit up Times Square with magnificent celebrations. The Consulate General of india in New York shared photographs and videos of the events, saying, "Indian Diaspora illuminated Times Square with a spectacular celebration of the Pran-Prathistha at ram mandir, Ayodhya. #AyodhyaRamTemple," in a post on X.
"Dressed in traditional indian attire, they passionately chanted bhajans and songs, showcasing India's cultural heritage, vibrancy, and unity," the statement said. Members of the indian diaspora can be seen congregated in Times Square, holding saffron flags with the words 'Jai Sri Ram' printed on them. The shrine town of ayodhya is preparing to welcome Lord ram, with prime minister Narendra Modi due to attend the consecration ceremony at the newly completed ram mandir on Monday.
People from all walks of life will attend the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol of ram Lalla, Lord Ram's childhood form.
