Good news for 2BHK beneficiaries: the ghmc intends to offer wired internet and cable tv connections at reduced rates under the Fibre to the home (FTTH) initiative. This will apply to both existing and new dwelling buildings. While the cost of a cable tv setup box would not exceed Rs 200, the router will not cost more than Rs 1000. It should have a minimum guarantee of one year.

Charges for Internet connection:
• 5 Mbps unlimited Max cost Rs. 200/month
•  30 Mbps unlimited Max cost Rs. 300/month
•  50 Mbps unlimited Max cost Rs. 400/month
•  100 Mbps unlimited Max cost Rs. 500/month

Meanwhile, internet access in Telangana's government schools remains low, at less than 10%. Union minister of State for education Annapurna Devi provided the information in a written response to a question posed by the BJP's dhananjay Bhimrao Mahadik in the Rajya Sabha. According to the Union Ministry of education, internet connection in india remained stable at 24.2% in 2021-22.

Puducherry and chandigarh reported 100% internet connection in government schools. Other states with high internet penetration in government schools include kerala (94.6%) and gujarat (94.2%).

Rajasthan is the only other state where more than half of the government schools have Internet access.

Bihar (5.9%), Mizoram (6%), odisha (8.1%), and telangana (9.2%) are the only states with less than 10% of government schools having Internet access.
