GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose visited Green Park and Tapovan colonies on tuesday morning. During his visit, residents of these communities brought up several issues they had about the neighboring Saroornagar lake. During the conversation, the locals brought up the problem of untreated sewage being dumped into the body of water from nearby locations.  The locals begged the ghmc Commissioner to build stormwater drains and other nala works under the SNDP in the region, as well as to update the sewage treatment plant (STP).
 

The ghmc Commissioner also visited the upstream inlets while accompanied by Lingojiguda Corporator Rajashekar reddy and other officials. He gave the order to desilt the nala as soon as possible. He also made sure that the chemical spraying apparatus and drone were operating properly. He instructed the officials to ground the works as soon as possible and talked about potential interventions with them.
 

During the conversation, the locals brought up the problem of untreated sewage being dumped into the body of water from nearby locations. Five carefully selected parks in hyderabad have been designated to take part in a pilot project that aims to save rainwater and come up with creative methods to deal with the problem of urban floods. This is part of an innovative effort.
