Within the party, there is uncertainty and worry over remarks made by YV Subbareddy, the uttarandhra Coordinator for the congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress party, over the selection of candidates for the next general elections. Subbareddy said that the list of candidates would be revealed after the third of the following month, and that the existing MLAs and Constituency Coordinators are not final.

Lower-level leaders saw this delay in releasing candidates as possibly detrimental to YSRCP's prospects of winning. The tdp and Jana Sena combination, on the other hand, has begun releasing candidates for the polls, giving the impression that they are more prepared. Confusion is being increased by instances of disputes and protests inside the party over prospective candidates and coordinators for certain constituencies. For instance, there have been allegations of unrest and violence in seats like vizag East, Gajuwaka, Anakapalli, Pendurthi, and Chodavaram.

Distress among the party ranks is being caused by the ambiguity and lack of clarity around the final list of candidates, and the delay might affect their election readiness in comparison to other political parties. How the YSRCP handles these issues and controls its internal dynamics in the run-up to the elections is still to be seen.
