During the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 match between the UP Warriorz (UPW) and the mumbai Indians (MI) on Wednesday, february 28 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Alyssa Healy was observed tackling a pitch invader. A spectator raced onto the pitch despite the venue's strict security measures. Healy was then seen attempting to stop him from interfering with the action. Healy did her best to maintain order in the proceedings while decked up in her wicketkeeping gear.

The incident happened after bowler anjali Sarvani, who came into the Warriorz lineup in place of Gouher Sultana, removed Sajeevan Sajana on the last delivery of MI's innings. Before it started again, play was stopped for a bit. The Warriorz were under pressure going into the game following consecutive losses to delhi Capitals (DC) and royal challengers Bangalore (RCB). But they fired right out of the gate against MI, the reigning champions, winning by seven wickets.

To set the stage for her team's run chase, kiran Navgire, who started the batting in lieu of Vrinda Dinesh, produced a half-century off of 25 balls. Navgire and Healy's opening-wicket partnership of 94 runs off of 9.1 overs set the stage for the Warriorz to mount a successful run chase. As their innings ended with 21 balls remaining, the Warriorz easily won. Healy and Tahlia McGrath were removed by Issy Wong in the eleventh over, but Grace harris and Deepti Sharma kept things under control.
