West bengal Chief minister mamata banerjee attacked the bjp today and said the party was trying to discredit the state and detain party leaders ahead of prime minister Narendra Modi's planned visit to kolkata on Wednesday. The Chief Minister's statements were made in response to the turmoil in Sandeshkhali and the impending lok sabha elections. mamata banerjee stated, "An attempt is being made to defame bengal, to tarnish the reputation of Bengal's officials," when speaking with media in Kolkata.
 

According to reports, authorities have been told by the bjp to detain Trinamool leaders. They deploy the Enforcement Directorate and the cbi with force under the agency's name, she said.
 
"Go on by gaining the people's trust if you want to succeed. Not bjp elections, but fair elections is what we want. It is feasible to hold fair elections in Bengal."
 

"I would like to invite those who make grand claims about bengal to visit Uttar Pradesh. Two juveniles were slain after being bound up in the past two days. Once in Hathras, and once at Bilqis's house. bengal, you see, is far superior than it," mamata banerjee remarked.
 
"The ladies of bengal have been degraded by the BJP's deceptive rhetoric and violent incitement efforts. Bengal's sisters and moms are not pleased about this, the woman continued.
 

Prime minister Narendra Modi will officially open the Howrah Maidan-Esplanade segment of the kolkata Metro's East-West track today in Kolkata. Additionally, the PM will open the Taratala-Majerhat Metro segment of the Joka-Esplanade Metro and the Kavi Subhash-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay section of the New Garia-Airport Metro.
 
Women from Sandeshkhali reportedly left to attend PM Modi's rally at Barasat, in the district of North 24 Parganas, according to sources. Nevertheless, there was no formal declaration regarding the Prime Minister's intention to meet the women.
 

The calcutta High Court, in the latest development, ordered on tuesday that the matter pertaining to the attack on ED personnel in Sandeshkhali and the detention of TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan, who is on suspension, be turned over to the CBI.
 
Sheikh was not given to the cbi team by the state police, and the West bengal government filed a supreme court challenge to the ruling.
