On friday, the hottest day of the year so far, with a high temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius, parts of delhi and its surrounding districts saw showers and hailstorms. The lowest temperature was 20.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees above average, while the highest temperature recorded was five degrees above the season's average. At 8:30 am, 74% of the air was reported as humid.
 

The national capital is expected to get thunderstorms and showers today, according to the india Meteorological Department (IMD). It is anticipated that the highest and lowest temperatures would be 36 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
 
The weather office said in its friday evening bulletin that there was a chance of hail, rain, and gusty winds reaching 40–60 km/h in certain areas of delhi (Jafarpur, Najafgarh, and IGI Airport); in Haryana, Gurugram, Manesar, Gannaur, Sonipat, Kharkhoda, Farukhnagar, Palwal, Aurangabad, and Hodal; and in Uttar Pradesh, Baraut, Meerut, Modinagar, Jattari, and Khair.
 

It also predicted thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rainfall in delhi, Loni Dehat, Hindon air Force Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Sakoti Tanda, Hastinapur, Chandpur, Daurala, Baghpat, Khekra, Kithor, Garhmukteshwar, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulaoti, Siyana, Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, Jahangirabad, Anupshahar, Shikarpur, Khurja, Pahasu, Debai, Gabhana and Aligarh.

RAIN, HAIL IN OTHER STATES
Somewhere else, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, had rain and strong winds. More rain and hailstorms are expected in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh, according to the local weather office.
 
In Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi, and Chamoli, there is a chance of rain.
 
There were several areas of severe rain and hailstorm in Rewari, Haryana. Farmlands became white from the hailstorm, damaging crops.
