World red Cross Day : All that you need to know!!!

Natural disasters, armed conflicts, and other crises affect thousands of people worldwide. They require attention, care, and support. They lose their loved ones, families, and houses. Unfortunate events have the power to drastically alter their lives. On World red Cross Day, we raise awareness of the difficulties and hardships faced by those who experience these kinds of disasters. The red Cross and red Crescent movements' humanitarian ideals are also brought to mind on this day.

Date: May 8 is designated as World red Cross Day each year. World red Cross Day is on a wednesday this year.

History: The red Cross played a major role in promoting peace in the years following World war I. The red Cross Truce report was issued in 1934 at the 15th international Conference in Tokyo, defining the guidelines required to care for injured soldiers during hostilities. Later, in 1946, the plan was implemented in the midst of World war II. The international Committee of the red Cross (ICRC) and the red Cross were founded by Henry Dunant, whose birthday was proposed to be commemorated in 1948 by the Board of Governors of the League of the red Cross Societies. World red Cross Day has been observed on May 8 of each year since then.

Significance: "I give with joy, and the joy I give is a reward" is this year's World red Cross Day theme. people are reminded on this day of the value of kindness, love, affection, support, and care. It also supports the goals, mission, values, and operations of the organization. The ideal method to honor the day is to volunteer to advance humanitarianism and raise money for the red Cross. We can actively participate in such events, such as blood donation drives, public awareness campaigns, or first aid training sessions, to learn how to assist others in need.
