Early morning rainfall soaked hyderabad, providing much-needed relief from the oppressive heat that lasted for more than ten days. Around 4:30 am, the rain began to progressively engulf the entire city. The cooling effect was aided by the cloud cover that persisted into the early morning hours.

The metropolis struggled with the day's oppressive heat, especially at midday. But by dark, the weather suddenly changed, with dense clouds covering the skyline and strong gusts of wind tearing over the whole city. As the cloud cover grew heavier, hyderabad was enveloped in darkness by 5:00 p.m. There were light to moderate rains seen in different regions of the city.

Hailstorms were recorded in various locations, including miyapur and Lingampally, during the inclement weather that lasted for several hours. There were transit problems as a result of the unexpected downpours and high gusts that took many commuters off guard. Visibility was getting worse, forcing two- and four-wheelers to stop in the middle.

There have been reports of power problems and trees falling from many neighborhoods. Public safety advisories were sent by telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL).
