No more toss..!?  BCCI brought a new change in cricket..!?


 BCCI has made some significant changes in domestic cricket matches. Accordingly, the toss system is going to be canceled from now on. The Board of Control for cricket in India is set to make some significant changes in domestic cricket for the 2024-25 season as per Jay Shah's recommendations. It has been reported that the next season will start with red and white ball matches and both Syed mushtaq ali and vijay hazare Trophy series will start after the first five matches of Duleep Trophy, Irani Trophy, and Ranji Trophy. Besides starting domestic cricket with a red ball tournament, Shah also suggested that the national selectors should announce the squads for the Duleep TrophyUntil now, it was the Zonal Selection Committees representing each state association that announced the teams for the Tulip Trophy from that zone. Now this job will be given to national examiners. At the same time all women's inter-zonal matches like ODIs and T20Is where the teams are selected only by the national selectors. Also, there will be adequate breaks between each match keeping in mind the fitness of each player. Recently, India's star all-rounder shardul thakur spoke about not having a break between each match.

A recommendation has also been made to remove the toss from the U-23 CK Naidu Trophy. Even from the outside, teams can now choose to bat or bowl first. At the same time, a new point system is also being added to ensure balanced performance. "Along with points for first innings lead or win, this will include points for batting and bowling performance in the first innings. A review will be conducted at the end of each season to assess the effectiveness of this new points system.


In North indiamany matches were canceled in the 2023-24 season due to fog. To deal with such situations, the bcci has decided not to hold more matches in places where weather conditions are bad. Therefore, the schedule of matches will be decided according to the seasonal conditions of the respective states. Meanwhile, in another important announcement, the bcci has announced that the 2024-25 season of Ranji Trophy will be played in two phases if it wins. The BCCI is also reported to have scrapped the zonal system in the Duleep Trophy after reintroducing it for a couple of seasons.
