The I. N. D. I.A coalition has already published a statement requesting the backing of neutral parties and independents if it is unable to establish a government. mamata banerjee of the trinamool congress has declared that her party will sponsor the indian National Democratic Institute. If necessary, a block from the outside can be used to create the government in the center.
The I.N.D.I.A. block is also seeking the Biju Janata Dal's support to join their coalition.
Expectations are that the YSRCP would gain 10-12 lok sabha seats in andhra pradesh, which might be critical in establishing the government in a closely contested election.
Despite controversial statements by some bjp officials, the YSRCP has maintained a tight connection with prime minister Narendra Modi's nda during the previous five years and has abstained from making critical comments against the BJP.

"My party would not back the bharatiya janata party after the Centre elections if the YSRCP wins a large number of mp seats in parliament. "The bjp has lost credibility since collaborating with the telugu Desam party," jagan stated.

During the recent budget sessions, jagan declared that he would back a pro-state party at the Centre to negotiate special category status.
When I.N.D.I.A. leaders approached him, jagan allegedly said unequivocally that his support was contingent on andhra pradesh receiving special category status. They told him that congress had previously made such a guarantee, dispelling whatever misgivings he may have had.
Jagan stated that he would decide on his position in the national political landscape only when the election results were published.
