The hacker who leaked a significant quantity of private information from the state police's network of websites and applications, including the TSCOP app, has been taken into custody by the telangana police. Additionally, the 20-year-old hacker posted nearly everything online for sale after leaking information from the telangana police's citizen service HawkEye app.
 
State director General of police ravi Gupta announced on Sunday, june 9, that the hacker, identified as Jatin Kumar, a resident of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, was taken into custody by the telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB) on june 8. After identifying the hacker, the TGCSB detectives moved quickly to apprehend him, including traveling to Delhi. Even when security experts said that public data was exposed, the police insisted that no data was affected.
 
According to the telangana police, the accused also disclosed vital information about other agencies and data about Aadhaar cards. The investigation is still on, and attempts are being made to find any further accomplices in this case. The telangana police claim that the hacker offered the hacked data for sale for as little as $150 US dollars after posting information about the breach on databreachforum.st. The telangana DGP stated, "He gave interested buyers the Telegram IDs Adm1nfr1end and Adm1nfr1ends to contact him regarding the Hawk Eye and TSCOP data, respectively."

The breach was found earlier this week by data security researcher srinivas Kodali, who also reportedly revealed that the hyderabad police are gathering information on individuals who check into hotels, among other things.
 
Even though he made an effort to hide his identity, the police said that TGCSB agents utilised "social engineering techniques" to locate him in Delhi. The hacker, who has a history of cybercrimes, will be sent to hyderabad on a transit remand. The culprit was detained by the Special Cell dwaraka police Station in New delhi and was previously implicated in a hacking case that was identical to this one.
