This is a significant increase above the Rs 1000 crore earned in the previous year. There are a record 20 teams and 55 games in this year's t20 World Cup. industry insiders claim that Disney Star has signed up for 59 different categories of advertising, a 70% rise over the last t20 World Cup.

Remarkably, 37 of these categories—which include industries like building materials, adhesives, banking, biscuits, ice cream, lubricants, e-commerce, fans, ice cream, and mattresses—are brand-new. The t20 world cup generated a lot less enthusiasm at first than it did the previous season, but it has since perked up, and ad sales are predicted to increase by 10% to 15%.

Disney Star had 19 sponsors at the start of the season, but as interest in the competition grew, this list was expanded to include well-known companies including P&G, Google, Colgate, AMFI, Ultratech, Amazon, Whisper, and Grasim Birla. Viewership has increased even more thanks to Disney+ Hotstar's free mobile streaming. Due to weather delays, the India-Pakistan match on Disney+ Hotstar attracted 2.9 crore peak views, exceeding the 2022 world cup but falling short of the 2023 World Cup.
