Minister Konda surekha gave a briefing to ANI on the plans for Golconda's Bonalu festivities. Additionally, the minister had a meeting with a few international media who had come to the state capital to cover Bonalu.
 
Hindus celebrate the festival of Bonalu in honour of the goddess Mahakali. hyderabad and Secunderabad, the twin cities, are the main locations where the celebrations are celebrated.

Every year in July or August, at Ashadamasam in the telugu calendar, hyderabad celebrates this event. Many individuals participate in the festivities and give the Mahakali goddess bonam. The followers think that the goddess bestows benefits on her followers over a span of 250 years.
 
Every year, festivities are held in many areas of the cities in addition to the Sri Jagadamba Mahakali temple at Golconda. There will be this festival for nine weeks. On the beginning and last days of the celebration, specific prayers are offered to the goddess.
