Farmers in the former medak district and a portion of Yadadri-Bhongir district are concerned about the uncertainty surrounding the pumping of water into four reservoirs constructed as part of the Kaleshwarm Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) in siddipet district.

Given the current conditions, it seems unlikely that water could be pumped from here since the Medigadda barrage, which was constructed across the Godavari to pump water into these reservoirs via Mid Manair, leaked water. If the Godavari received sufficient inflows upstream, the irrigation authorities intended to pump water from the Yellampally project. But as of right now, there were no indications that water will be received from upstream because Yellampally in Telangana, the SRSP, and the Babli project in Maharastra remained unoccupied even after the southwest monsoon started. Ananthagiri Reservoir, Ranganayaka Sagar, Kondapochamma Sagar, and Mallanna Sagar were the four reservoirs constructed in Siddipet.

Built to serve the irrigation demands of both the Rajanna Siricilla and siddipet districts, the Ananthagiri reservoir had 0.73 TMC of water versus its maximum storage capacity of 3.5TMC. Ananthagiri will supply irrigation water to portions of siddipet town, siddipet rural, Chinnakodur, Narayanraopet, Cheriyala, Maddur, and Nanganur mandals in siddipet district, as well as Ilanthakunta, Mustabad, and tangallapally mandals in sircilla district. The proposal calls for 30,000 acres of ayacut, but since several canals are being built, 15,000 acres might get irrigation water.

Water would be raised from Ananthagiri to Ranganayaka Sagar, which is situated near siddipet town in Chandlapur. Parts of siddipet, siddipet rural, Narayanraopet, Chinnakodur, Nanganur, Dubbak, Kondapak, and Kukunurpally mandals receive irrigation water from this project. Against the project's full reservoir level of 3 TMC, there was 0.70 TMC of water. There would be enough water on hand to suit everyone's demands for drinking water. The project calls for 1.10 lakh acres of ayacut. Notwithstanding the incompleteness of certain canals, the irrigation department was able to supply water for an area of 65,000 acres.

Kondapochamma Sagar, which was constructed in the Gajwel constituency, has a 15 TMC reservoir full of water, however as of right now, it only has 4.5 TMC. The project's proposed ayacut is 2.85 lakh acres spread across the mandals of Mulugu, Jagadevpur, and Markook in the Gajwel constituency, and Turkapally, Aler, and Rajapet in the Yadadri-Bhongir district. However, because the canals were still being built, they could only supply irrigation water to 60,000 acres until the most recent Yasangi.

The largest reservoir constructed under KLIS, with a 50 TMC storage capacity, is located in the Dubbak constituency. There was now little more than 8 TMC of water in the project. The project calls for 1.25 lakh acres of ayacut. In addition, these reservoirs supplied water to streams with several check dams, including Peddavagu, Kudavelly, Haldi, and other streams, and impounded 2,000 small irrigation tanks throughout the former medak region. The farmers put off planting paddy nurseries in tandem with the delay in water pumping. Farmers in the districts of medak and siddipet want to cultivate paddy on 7 lakh acres, but the delay in pumping may cause problems.
