According to reports on Wednesday, bjp veteran lal krishna advani is being treated at the All india Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIM) in Delhi. The 96-year-old politician is being watched over by medical professionals from AIIMS, Delhi's geriatric unit. He is stable, according to the hospital, and is being closely monitored.
 

Three months after receiving the highest civilian accolade in the nation, the Bharat Ratna, the former deputy prime minister was admitted to the hospital. Advani received the Bharat Ratna at his delhi home from President Droupadi Murmu.
 
Prime minister Narendra Modi, Vice President jagdeep Dhankhar, Defence minister Rajnath Singh, home minister amit shah, and LK Advani's family members were present for the official event.
 
From june 2002 to May 2004, LK Advani was India's deputy prime minister. From october 1999 to May 2004, he was the Union home Minister. He presided over the bjp three times: in 1986–1990, 1993–1998 and in 2004–2005.


In 1980, Advani and several other Jana Sangh members left the Janata party to form the bharatiya janata party (BJP). Former prime minister Atal Bihari Valpayee served as the BJP's first president. In 1989, Advani ran for the lok sabha seat representing New Delhi. He initiated the Rath yatra to seek the construction of a ram temple at ram Janmabhoomi and played a crucial role in the drive for the ram temple in Ayodhya.
