On Wednesday, june 26, a task force from the telangana Food Safety Department searched the JNTU canteen and the Lulu Hypermarket in kukatpally, hyderabad, and discovered several breaches.
 

Violations at the Lulu Hypermarket, Kukatpally
During the operation at kukatpally Hyderabad's Lulu Hypermarket, several infractions were discovered. Food products that had expired and infestations were found in the bread section and disposed of.
 
Additionally, the Lulu Hypermarket store in hyderabad did not have a current copy of its FSSAI license on display at the door. More houseflies were lingering close to the meat storage. "A notification shall be sent out and additional measures will be implemented correspondingly," stated the telangana Food Safety Commissioner on X.


JNTU, hyderabad Canteen raided
During a search by the food safety authorities at their campus in hyderabad, Sri Sri, the caterer at the JNTU Canteen, was discovered to be operating outside of sanitary regulations. Without gloves, aprons, or hedgers, handlers were discovered.

The cooking area was discovered to be unclean, with food trash being dumped straight onto the floor, and the partially prepared foods and chopped veggies were left out without the appropriate labeling.
 
The raid also discovered that the hyderabad University's kitchen did not have insect-proof screens, and the entrance was not up to code for keeping out vermin. The outlet also possessed an invalid FSSAI license. Records about pest control and medical fitness were not disclosed.
