In the early hours of friday morning, under intense rain, a section of the roof of delhi Airport's Terminal 1 collapsed on automobiles, including cabs, injuring one person and killing five others, according to delhi fire services (DFS) authorities. They said that a search was carried out to ensure that nobody was left stranded in the wrecked cars.
 

Traffic intended for the indira gandhi International (IGI) Airport's T-1 departure has been redirected at the CISF checkpoint in the direction of T-1 arrival, according to Deputy Commissioner of police (IGI) usha Rangnani.
 
Around 5:30 am, the DFS got a call on the incident, and three fire tenders were dispatched to the airport. According to the officials, in addition to the roof sheet, the support beams gave way, causing damage to the automobiles parked at the terminal's pick-and-drop area.
 
The injured individuals were admitted to the airport-proximate Medanta Hospital. They said that one of the injured passed away while receiving care. One of the six injured, according to the officials, was saved from a car that had an iron beam fall on it. Terminal-1 collapsed on cars, including taxis, officials launch search operation to make sure no one was trapped in the damaged vehicles
