Kalki 2898 AD, a science fiction film directed by Nag Aswhin, is doing better than expected, having brought in Rs 191.5 crore on its first day of release. Following a strong opening day performance at the box office, preliminary estimates indicate that the film grossed Rs 67.10 crore on its third day in India. deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and amitabh bachchan play important parts in the movie.
 
On Day 2, "Kalki 2898AD" earned Rs 57.60 crore in india and Rs 298 crore worldwide. Early estimates on Day 3 indicate that the movie has surpassed the Rs 200 crore milestone in India. The movie brought a three-day total to Rs 220 crore net after earning Rs 67.10 crore on its opening Saturday, according to a Sacnilk report. The global numbers have not yet been made public.
 
On june 29, Saturday, the telugu version of the movie had a 74.24 percent occupancy rate in India. In its first weekend, the movie is predicted to earn around Rs 500 crore. "Kalki 2898 AD," which was made by vyjayanthi movies on a Rs 600 crore budget, is regarded as the most costly movie ever made in India. santhosh narayanan wrote the soundtrack, while Djordje Stojiljkovic handled the cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handled the editing.
