Mumbai: Flash floods; 5 members of the same family swept away - shock

Monsoon has intensified in the state of Maharashtra. During the rainy season, tourists usually go with their families to see the waterfall flowing in the mountains. 15 people belonging to two families from pune Hadapsar climbed the Lonavala hill near Pune. They climbed the hill for 2 km. Hundreds of tourists were visiting the Bush Dam in Lonavala. The 15 members of the two families who were involved in the trek, were bathing and playing in the water running on the mountain. A short distance from there was a waterfall.


In this case, suddenly the rainwater increased and the water level increased in the place where they were bathing. They were holding each other so as not to get swept away in the water. 10 of them were swept away by the water. Immediately the bystanders shouted for help. people who were dragged into the water shouted for help. 5 out of 10 people are saved by others. But 5 people were washed away. All of them were swept into a nearby waterfall and drowned in the water below.


The bodies of three women have been recovered. The bodies of the two minors are yet to be found. They started searching for them this morning. About this, Lonavala police Officer satya Sai karthik said, "All 10 people went into the restricted area. There was a notice board saying not to go there. They went in despite the warning," he said.
