Negligence of Bengaluru authorities: IT workers, and students who came out to clean the road.

After the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) failed to maintain the road connecting Kadupeesanahalli and Varthur in Bengaluru, a group of IT staff, students and residents took to cleaning the potholes. Instead of waiting for the authorities to take action, students and IT staff in Bengaluru came together to clean up the dangerous stretch of Balagere Road.

A pothole on the busy Balagere road between Kadupeesanahalli and Varthur has become slippery for two-wheelers and a hazard for the public. Bengaluru's BBMP has turned down many requests to clean roads, citing lack of funds. Frustrated with the situation, many IT workers, including college students, school students and residents took to the field and cleaned the roads.

After these videos and pictures went viral on the internet, people praised everyone but blamed the BBMP officials for their negligence. Pictures and videos posted on social media show people wearing gloves cleaning up mud from the road. According to Money control, as soon as news of the road conditions reached the Chief Minister's office and karnataka Deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, they directed the BBMP officials to resolve the problem.

In this video shared on X Page, residents of Balagere/Varthur are involved in cleaning road works. It also noted that IT employees in Bengaluru work weekdays for corporates, earn, pay taxes, and spend weekends fixing BBMP's neglected problems.

Many users have appreciated this action. Meanwhile, many have criticized the authorities for not taking action. One of them said, “This is shocking. He said that the Bengaluru Corporation should be ashamed of harassing the honest tax-paying citizens. Another person said, "Imagine how irritated they must have been when they saw the garbage on the roadside, and instead of complaining, they took responsibility for cleaning it up." Another person said that the volunteers are appreciated. For another, Brand Bengaluru is like this. Pay taxes and clean your roads.
