After the separation of telangana from Andhra Pradesh, the BRS party ruled for two terms, with cm kcr serving as chief minister twice. Many believed that forming a separate state with its own governance would resolve many issues, but kcr was unable to address all the problems. Before the elections, he promised a job for every household and a double-bedroom house for the homeless poor. However, during his two terms, kcr did not fulfill these promises, with no double-bedroom houses and only existing Indiramma houses remaining in many villages and towns. Double-bedroom houses were only provided in Sirisilla, Gajwel, and Siddipet, with no records of houses being given to other constituencies. Meanwhile, the congress party criticized kcr for his shortcomings and promised to provide houses if they came to power.

The key challenge for congress now is whether revanth can fulfill the promise of providing houses for the poor. Before the elections, congress pledged to provide houses to the homeless, which garnered significant support from poor voters. Consequently, the congress party won a resounding victory in Telangana. Six months have passed since revanth reddy took office, but the promise of Indiramma houses has yet to be realized. Out of the six guarantees made by congress, three are being implemented, and the fourth is on the verge of rollout. cm revanth reddy has assured that Indiramma houses will be delivered soon, with 5 lakh rupees to be provided to those with house plots and assistance for constructing houses. For those without land, house plots will be allocated, ensuring more houses across the state.

If this scheme is successfully implemented statewide, it could potentially eliminate homelessness in telangana, strengthening the chances of the revanth government being re-elected. Senior congress politicians believe that delivering on the Indiramma housing scheme will be a significant contribution to fulfilling Indiramma’s vision. It remains to be seen whether congress will follow through with this scheme or if it will remain unfulfilled, like KCR's promises.
