Hussain Sagar Lake hosted the start of hyderabad Sailing Week on Tuesday. Lt. Gen. JS Sidana, Senior Colonel Commandant, director General of EME, and Patron of the EME Sailing Association, gave it the go-ahead. The event is organised by the EME Sailing Association and is a YAI Ranking event with competitions in several classes.
 
There will be about a hundred sailors from various states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, tamil Nadu, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Haryana. The races will conclude on July 7 with a prize distribution.

It is an annual event conducted at Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.

The current event is the 38th hyderabad Sailing Week.


Hussain Sagar: One of the popular tourist spots in Hyderabad
Hyderabad's Hussain Sagar, constructed in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, is a well-liked tourist destination.
 
Hussain Shah Wali, a master of architecture, is the name of the heart-shaped lake. It served as the primary water supply source prior to the development of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar.
 
1992 saw the construction of the buddha statue in the middle of the lake.
 
Every year, hyderabad Sailing Week is conducted in the lake because it is a well-liked tourist destination.
