So we secretly tracked the activities of YouTuber Sabir Ali, who runs the shop. We also scrutinized his cell phone calls. It was then confirmed that Sabir Ali was connected with the smuggling gang. Gangs smuggling gold from abroad will get caught with us if they bring it out. Therefore, the investigation revealed that arrangements were made to bring the gold out through Sabir Ali.

Sabir ali invested several lakhs to start a gift shop at the airport two months ago. He employs seven people in this shop. Sabir ali has obtained permission from the Airports Authority of india to visit all areas of the airport. With that pass, the staff working at the gift shop have normally entered the airport area. After knowing this, the smuggling gang made a deal with Sabir Ali hid the smuggled gold in the toilet, and informed Sabir ali about the location on the phone. Later, Sabir ali sent the shopkeeper to take the gold outside and handed it over to the smuggling gang. So smuggled gold has gone out easily. Now, following the information given to us by the trapped passenger, we have investigated Sabir ali and the shop staff. After investigation, we have arrested 9 people including Sabir Ali.

The smuggling gang has been paying a commission to the Sabir ali team to bring out the smuggled gold. In the investigation of the arrested persons, information has been received that 267 kg of gold worth 167 crore rupees has been smuggled in the last two months alone. We are taking action to confiscate it. "The investigation is going on based on the CCTV footage at the airport," he said.

When asked about this smuggling gang, a senior Customs official said, ``Sabir ali has a close relationship with a bjp leader. It has been revealed that it was the bjp leader who used his political influence to get permission for Sabir ali to set up a gift shop. So that bjp figure is also in our circle of suspicion," he said.
