The alliance came to power after the 2024 elections in Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh, who contested from mangalagiri, won as an mla with a majority of 90,000 votes and has now taken charge as the IT Minister. Before winning as an mla, he undertook a padayatra in mangalagiri to connect with the people and gain their trust. During this time, many YSP leaders, ministers, and high-ranking officials who supported ycp created numerous obstacles for him. Additionally, he faced professional criticism and inappropriate comments directed at him and his father, Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

The names of Jaganmohan reddy, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Kodali Nani, Pinnelli, and dwaraka Pudi are among the key figures included in Lokesh's red Book. One prominent name is former raptadu mla Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy. When ycp was in power, thopudurthi prakash reddy made several inappropriate comments targeting TDP, including controversial remarks last year suggesting chandrababu naidu should be hanged.

He criticized the neglect of irrigation projects in andhra pradesh during Naidu's regime and highlighted the illegal projects in Karnataka. reddy accused Naidu of remaining silent on these issues, including increasing the height of the Almatti project and ignoring the court's 2011 stay on water allocation to the Upper Bhadra project. He also pointed out that in 2017, permission was granted for the second phase of forest clearance for the Upper Bhadra project.

Due to these comments, nara lokesh included Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy's name in his red Book. As these revelations gain traction, some political analysts suggest that governing with a mindset of revenge may not be sustainable.
