The Food Safety Department of telangana has sent a task force team to raid a hotel and a multi-cuisine restaurant in Hyderabad. Many infractions were discovered when the two Tolichowki restaurants were raided.

Kitchen premises found open to outside environment

The cooking area of Hyderabad's 4 Seasons Multi-cuisine Restaurant was discovered to be open to the outdoors from one side without an insect-proof screen, and the doors were not closed to keep dust and vermin out. Also discovered were open trash cans. In addition, loose plaster flakes were noticed within the kitchen premises, and water stagnation was noted close to cleaning locations. Because the misbranded products did not have a production or packaging date, the team confiscated Sweet Sounf, Fry Sounf, and Potli ka Masala.

In another restaurant in Tolichowki, Hotel Rumaan, the cooking area was discovered to be open to the outside air without an insect-proof screen, and the doors were not closed to keep dust and vermin out. We saw trash cans that were open. Additionally, food items that were kept in the refrigerator were not properly labelled or covered.

Raids continue at restaurants, hotels in Hyderabad
To guarantee the quality of the food, raids have been happening regularly for the past few weeks at different points in the city and neighbouring telangana districts.

In Hyderabad, raids have been carried out at several eateries, lodging facilities, PGs, and supermarkets thus far.

Even while these raids are a start in the right direction, many of the city's eateries are still breaking the law.
