Telangana government’s advisory to prevent dengue, Malaria
The telangana government has released a comprehensive set of recommendations designed to stop the spread of dengue and malaria infections, which are becoming a growing menace.

To stop mosquitoes from growing, residents are advised to cover any water tanks and containers snugly. They should also routinely empty and clean coolers to remove any possible mosquito breeding grounds. It is important to properly dispose of empty containers and other objects that might collect water to prevent mosquitoes from reproducing during the monsoon season.

It is also recommended that people cover toilet seats while they are away from home for an extended length of time and replace the water in flower vases, plant pots, and birdbaths every week.

To prevent mosquito bites, it's advised to use insect repellents, wear long sleeves, and install wire mesh on windows and doors to keep mosquitoes out. During dengue fever epidemics, bed nets should be used in addition to daytime aerosol and vaporizer usage.

The government plans to start a weekly "Friday-Dry Day" program to focus on preventing and managing dengue fever as part of preventative efforts.

Instead of self-medicating, citizens are advised to seek medical assistance as soon as possible at government health institutions if they have a fever or other severe symptoms.

In addition, the government has made sure that public health institutions are prepared by providing IV fluids, necessary medications, ORS sachets, and special beds, all of which are accessible through local health workers.
